  • DON'T WANT TO WAIT?

The main reason people may consider not going ahead with their watch purchase at this point is because of the build and delivery timeline on some ranges. What convinces them to go ahead is just how special our watches are and the craftsmanship that goes into each and every piece.

We make all our watches from scratch in our workshop using genuine upcycled firefighting materials sourced from around the UK. We keep you updated by email on the production of your watch right through to delivery. In addition, your purchase drives a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity in the UK which genuinely reaches firefighters and their families.

For additional comfort, you also receive a free 30-day return period from when you receive your watch and if that’s not enough feel free to read our 500+ 5 Star Trustpilot reviews from other customers

Bronze Ruby

Welcome to William Wood Watches fifth new limited edition collection called the Bronze Ruby Fire Kit Straps, part of our heritage range. This stunning new watch has a deep burgundy dial and bezel, contrasting perfectly inside our bronze watch case. The earthy vintage tones of the bronze case against the burgundy dial really capture the essence of William Wood's rich firefighting history. The watch comes fitted with the Seiko Group NH35 movement, well-known around the world for reliability and accuracy. This watch is an outstanding example of William Wood values, both pushing their upcycling onto different materials and carefully curating colours that match up so elegantly.

Alongside this new Bronze Ruby, is a second new product, our new upcycled British Fire Kit Straps. This is the first time that William Wood has used an upcycled material
which is not fire hose, and offers you a neutral desert sand tone, that suits our entire line of William Wood Watches. As Fire Kits are designed to withstand all elements, it was not an easy feat to take this rugged material and turn it into a luxury watch strap, but the execution and finish looks like it was always meant to be. The Fire Kit used has been worn in live fires and protected the UK Fire & Rescue Service for over 10 years.

The Bronze Ruby Fire Kit Straps retails for £795 or 3 interest free payments of £265. Our William Wood Watches Bronze Ruby is available for immediate dispatch.

Automatic Movement:

Japanese Seiko NH35 Automatic Movement: The Seiko NH35 is also a self-winding movement and has 24-jewel bearings. The movement is one of the world’s most popular automatic movements. The NH35 should be fully wound after about 55 manual turns of the crown. Some would argue that Seiko were the first brand to produce an automatic watch and watch critics argue that Seiko movement are as accurate as major Swiss luxury providers.

Design Features:

Rank Markings - At the turn of the century the Fire Brigade was a branch of the Police Force and the rank structure was that of Police. When the Fire Service was made independent of the Police a new rank structure and markings were designed for the uniform. Now rankings of a firefighter can be seen on their uniform collar. The two stripe indices located at the 12 on the watch face represent the markings a Crew Manager would have on his or her uniform collar.

Checkered Markings - Printed around the perimeter of the dial is the exact checkered markings design from the side of a British fire engine which have been picked up and dropped onto our Valiant Collection watch face in an understated yet complimentary way.

Bell Chime - Now that we have moved through the ranks of complexity to an automatic movement we have added a sweeping second hand to the dial. The second hand has been designed to look like the chime from an old fire engine bell.

Super-LumiNova - We wanted this to be a watch that you could wear everyday. No matter what the job! By having Super-LumiNova on the indices, hands and bezel you can follow the time no matter how dark your environment may be.

Water Resistant (100m) - You have the ability to dive up to 100m without any fear of water damage. You can confidently wear your watch in the swimming pool or in the shower without giving it a second thought.

Firefighter Helmet Crown - Placed inside the crown is an inset made from a 1920’s British brass firefighter’s helmet. All of the casting and craftsmanship is carried out in the heart of London’s prestigious jewellery district of Hatton Garden.

Fire Uniform Straps - Our latest upcycled straps are made from British Fire Uniform. Having been used in live fires we deep wash, protect and prepare the jacket for use, then cut it up to make our luxury watch straps offering a desert sand neutral tone against our watch dials.
