100 YEAR OLD UPCYCLED

BRITISH BRASS FIREFIGHTER’S HELMET

We take an original British brass firefighter’s helmet, worn by firefighters in the 1920’s, melt it down and place it inside of our watch cases. We set the upcycled brass either inside of our watch crowns or forge it into a commemorative coin that sits inside the caseback of our watches. We are very proud to honour firefighters both past and present by having real firefighting history beating through every William Wood watch.

FIRE HOSE STRAPS

Fire hose is a beautiful and rugged material. But sadly the majority of fire hose makes its way into landfill, which can take up to 100 years to decompose. We wanted to give this incredible material, full of history and heroism, a new life on someones wrist. Fire services around the world donate their decommissioned fire hose to us and we upcycle them in our luxury watch straps. It is an incredibly tough process that we have perfected over the years. The result is a unique, elegant, and above all, comfortable watch strap. Each cut of fire hose that we use in our straps is completely unique to that watch owner, with its own texture, patina and story to tell. We had no idea just how many fire hose colours were used around the world. An exciting part of our journey has been sourcing this unique colours just for you.

We have really pushed the boundaries this time with a genuine Italian leather watch presentation box inspired by a fire alarm. This unboxing will set your mind alight. The box is the perfect travel companion size and has a real wow factor when unboxing your new watch.

We wanted to create different textures and layering with our Fearless Collection. We have always admired the rough texture of charcoal and we wanted to incorporate that in our Fearless dials. The result speaks volumes, drawing in our rich firefighting history and design aesthetic.

NIGHT SHIFT READY

LIGHT IN THE DARKEST HOUR

We know that our watches are worn in the darkest environments. For our Fearless Collection we used rose gold applied indices and filled them with C3 grade Super-LumiNova for an added boost of night vision strength. The result is an epic display of lume set off beautifully against our rough charcoal inspired dials.

CASEBACK INSPIRED BY A

FIREFIGHTER HELMET VISOR

We like to merge firefighting and horology in a cool, luxury and symbiotic way. Our Fearless Collection caseback personifies this approach. With a modern day UK firefighter helmet moulded into the case construction, and an open exhibition glass placed in the helmet visor in a range of colours. The result is an impactful and creative take on a firefighter inspired field watch ready to go into battle.
